Hedge Connection has been hitting the conference circuit pretty hard the last few weeks. Emerging Manager – Opal, Family Office – IIR, Hedge World Spring Service Provider’s conference where’ yours truly spoke on a marketing panel.

I will be sending some quotes and commentary from these events over the next week.

The best quote from the three events was from a pension fund trustee talking about the loose definition of what it means to be an emerging manager.

“Many of you come to me with a 10-15 year track record, $3 mln under management and claim that you are an emerging managers…seriously, you’re not an EMERGING MANAGER…you’re a SUBMERGING MANAGER…”
